Challenge

The mini-job center required a powerful system for archiving incoming and outbound documents for the seven million people marginally employed in the commercial and private sphere. This involved setting up paper-free workflows to and from the processors.

Solution

Knappschaft uses the LDMS document management and archiving system as part of a joint solution developed by Software Innovation GmbH and Océ Deutschland (now known as Open Text). One of its prominent features is outstanding performance, a key prerequisite for processing and archiving very large numbers of documents on a daily basis.

  • Electronic archiving allows employees of the mini-job portal to instantly access any of the 2.1 million employer records, provided they are authorized to do so.
  • This is of great help to the Cottbus-based KBS service center staff of 160, who answer about 2.5 million calls a year and thus must be able to provide customers with quick answers.
  • As regards the household job portal, LDMS provides the operator with the tools needed to maintain customer record data at a high level of quality.
